The Series 6 from 2008 was the latest in the award-winning Senator range, which firmly established it as one of the most well-made, designed and equipped touring homes available at that time. Built on an Al-Ko galvanised chassis, with shock absorbers and two-way assisted handbrake, the Louisiana also features the latest AL-KO ATC Trailer Control system, AKS 3004 stabiliser giving a stable tow when combined with a suitable tow vehicle. A TRACKER Monitor Stolen Vehicle Recovery system which, combined with the AL-KO Secure portable wheel lock, will ensure that this caravan remains safe and secure on site. The grade II insulation in the floor, ceiling and walls ensure this caravan can be used in comfort all year-round. Additional exterior features: full height ABS rear panel with integral light cluster, individual rear light units and grab handles. Gloss white side panels and ABS one piece front and rear panels are set off by 14” alloy wheels with striking graphics, resulting in a caravan which is attractive either on the road or when pitched on a campsite. The caravan has a spare wheel located in an under van, and 14 pin electrical socket to connect the tow vehicle and caravan.
The twin-section Hartel exterior door with double glazed window and blind plus moulded interior liner and integral waste bin, leads to the spacious and well-equipped interior.
The lounge has deep comfortable sofas (sprung upholstery) and is perfect for relaxing or enjoying a meal with family or friends using the dining table provided. The seating is upholstered in attractive Bailey 'Blenheim' design fabric, featuring matching curtains, scatter cushions, armrests and deep-pile drop in carpets, over a wood-block effect floor. The lounge seating can be used as two small single beds or converted into a large double utilising a pull out slat system. There is also a chest of drawers with a fold-out coffee table, and if a larger table is required there is a 'fold out' dining table which has it's own storage within the kitchen cupboard. There is plenty of storage in the overhead aircraft style lockers, which are finished in cherry effect with matt nickel plated handles and latches, additional storage is under the seats. The large Heki roof light creates an airy and light feel to the living area and the three double-glazed polyplastic windows, all windows feature blinds, flyscreens and night-latches.
Preparing meals will be a breeze in the well-appointed kitchen with a 3-way large Dometic 115 litres fridge freezer (with separate freezer) and Spinflo oven, grill, with 4 ring gas hob. The built in Daewoo 700w microwave oven is set at eye level and there is ample food and utensil storage. A bi-directional extractor fan is situated above the cooker.
The Bailey Senator Louisiana doesn't compromise on space with washroom facilities either: this model has an impressively spacious bathroom in the middle of the caravan. Enabling access from either end of the caravan, so if both beds are being used, either can gain access without having to disturb the other users. The shower cubicle is very roomy and features a chrome finished mixer tap and shower head. There is a Thetford C250 cassette toilet (with electric flush), sink, mirror and ample storage.
However, this twin axle 4 berth's main distinguishing feature is a large end bedroom with a fixed double island bed incorporating a pocket sprung mattress for total sleeping comfort. Bed making is a dream as you can get to either side of the bed, and then it can remain in place for the duration of your holiday. The bedroom can be separated from the rest of the caravan for privacy. In this bedroom are wardrobes, drawers, overhead aircraft style lockers, and plenty of storage space under the bed. The mattress lifts up with the aid of gas assisted struts to enable easy access to the storage space. There is a Heki roof light above the bed adding to a feeling of spaciousness, also providing the opportunity to stare up at the stars on clear nights!
The tried and tested Truma water heater, heating system can be run using gas or electric. The heater has both space heater and blown air functionality, ensuring warm air is circulated through the caravan as required, making it cosy for all year caravanning. There is also an onboard water tank.
There is an in-built entertainment system with branded DVD/VCD/CD/MP3/Radio. On the roof of the caravan is a Status 530 directional aerial to ensure you pick up a good signal wherever you are.
There is a large front locker (with light) that contains space for the two gas bottles and a fitted regulator. Externally an awning light, external Gas BBQ socket, external 240V socket, provide for great outdoor living.
